About Me

I come from Midlothian, was born in Edinburgh and went to Dalkeith High School. I left with a number of Standard Grades and some Highers, for more information see my CV. I have a good all round knowledge which I can apply to many different situations from my experience detailed below. I hope that the descriptions and photographs of the projects shown on this website will help to showcase the construction skills I have gained over time.

IT Background I attended Jewel and Esk Valley college to study IT and later Edinburgh's Napier University where I graduated with a BEng(Hons) degree in internet computing (2:2)
NPA Plumbing I returned to college to retrain in construction hoping to change my career path, undertaking an entry to construction course and pre-apprentice plumbing leading to a combined qualification.
Construction Background I have gained experience in labouring after gaining my CSCS card. I took part in training for various trades including stone masonry, tiling, joinery and bricklaying.
Midlothian Council I have worked in a number of outdoor jobs including gardening for Midlothian Council and undertaking the relevant training to use the machinery to do the job
Volunteering I have been a volunteer with 1st Midlothian Scout Group in Gorebridge, Bridgend Farmhouse and Newcastleton Traditional Music Festival and the NHS
NPA Joinery I have just finished studying an NPA Joinery and Carpentry course at Edinburgh College
Future Direction My aim is to get an apprenticeship in joinery and carpentry which will set me on the path to a successful career within the construction industry.
